Research

The Institute of Community Medicine,Madras Medical College,Chennai., provides training in the understanding of disease etiology and prevention. We have a faculty representing many disciplines, ranging from statistics to health services research, and emphasizing epidemiology of different specialties, including cancer, nutrition, psychiatry, cardiology, diabetes, occupation and environment, communicable diseases, stress, general chronic disease and social epidemiology. The Institute is active and  does research program and data sets are based on research dealing with medical care in Tamilnadu State, the epidemiology of various communicable and non communicable diseases
